I am really confused about why webdings is an acceptable font on any word program or blog set up. I mean, the only time I have ever used it was when I was in high school and thought it would be hilarious and possibly make me a look a little cool. (it didn't.) So seriously? What gives? What gives??
OK, now I feel a little better. So today, I'm sharing what I read this morning.
"'Everybody talkin' about heaven ain't goin' there.' This line, from an old spiritual, accurately describes many in the church. Outwardly they identify with Christ, but inwardly they have never been genuinely converted. Because they cling to false profession, the fool themselves into thinking they are on the narrow path leading to life, when in reality they are on the broad road that leads to destruction. To make matters worse, their self-deception is often reinforced by well-meaning but undiscerning Christians who naively embrace them as true believers. Such confusion stems from the watered-down pseudo-gospels that are propagated from fat too many pulpits. Cheap grace, market-driven ministry, emotionalism, subjectivism, and an indiscriminate inclusivism have all infiltrated the church with devastating consequences. As a result, almost any profession of faith is affirmed as genuine - even from those whose lives manifest no signs of true fruit (e.g., Luke 6:43-44). For many, no one's faith is to be questioned. Meanwhile, key New Testament passages regarding the danger of false faith (e.g., James 2:14-26) and the need for self-examination (e.g., 2 Cor. 13:5) go unheeded."

(I don't really know how to source my quotes anymore)
I mean... wow.... I read this excerpt this morning and read the passages mentioned and fell on my face before God saying, "Jesus! Have mercy on me!!! Let my faith be genuine! What kind of fruit do you see Lord?" I truly want to be one of those to whom it is said, "Well done my good and faithful servant." But I see in my own life all the u-turns and detours I've taken. When will I grow up??
I think I'll let the Holy Spirit answer these questions for me.
