Today was such a great day. May I just say how much I love my family? Sometimes my life can be hectic. Really, whose isn't? Today my dad took the girls and I to see Santa and to do some shopping. He risked being caught with a two year meltdown and a two month old crying (OK, maybe screaming) fest. Because of his bravery, I have a wonderful picture of Noelle and Phoebe with Santa Claus. Thanks Dad.
Mid afternoon, my oldest brother comes over. He helped entertain Noelle while I tried to work on those last minute Christmas gifts. I was able to get the creative process out of the way. (Which is the most time consuming) Those craft stars will turn out GREAT!
My mom came over and helped me get the girls to bed, make dinner, and finish up those stars.
I love my family.
And speaking of my family. Noelle is really something else. She's starting to realize that a crying baby gets a lot of attention. Being the smart pupil that she is, she has started climbing into her old bouncy seat (now Phoebe's) and "cries". Tonight I started doting over her and really getting into her whole scenario she created. I picked her up, held her close and started shushing her. When I held her in my arms and started bouncing her, a look of interest appeared in her face. She was really getting into the whole game and so, she did what any baby would do. She started to drool.
I laughed so hysterically. She's quite astute really. Her perception of a baby is that they cry, drool, and roll their tongue around in odd ways. She really is priceless.
Ten minutes after the baby scene, she was trotting around in my high heels. Go figure. Newborn or night out on the town. She doesn't know what she wants.
Love that girl!
